Misaël Fiset est né le 4 mars 1867 à St-Basile, Portneuf, Québec. Il était le fils de Louis Fiset, cultivateur et de Mathilde Germain. Il a épousé Amanda Richard, née le 17 avril 1872, fille de Jean Richard, cultivateur et de Luce Matte en la paroisse Notre-Dame-des-Septs-Douleurs de Portneuf le 8 avril 1888. Fait cocasse, la soeur d'Amanda, Laura Richard s'est également mariée la même journée, soit le 8 avril 1888, dans la même église avec Ferdinand Fiset, fils de Louis Fiset et de Naphalette Marcotte. Selon les régistres de baptême, Misaël et Amanda auraient eu 18 enfants : Louis (17 fév. 1889); Marie Amanda (17 mars 1890); Emma (1891, décédée en 1898); Ferdinand (19 juin 1892, décédé en 1898); Marie Rose Anna (3 déc. 1893); Joseph Ovila (5 avril 1895); Armand (27 sept. 1898); Marie Emma (7 nov. 1899); Joseph Émilien (2 mars 1902); Joseph Omer (10 juillet 1903); Marie-Ange (2 déc. 1904); Joseph Alfred Hector (22 sept. 1906); Joseph Hildevert (8 mai 1908); Joseph Mendoza (29 août 1909); Joseph Léo Baptiste Roland (27 déc. 1910); Joseph Victorin (3 août 1912); Joseph Lionel (15 mars 1914); et Marie Jeanne Noella (1 nov. 1915), tous nés à St-Basile, Portneuf, Québec. Selon la famille, Misaël, son épouse et leurs enfants, sauf Louis et Marie Emma, seraient déménagés à Barraute en Abitibi en 1916. Misaël a toujours été cultivateur. Amanda décèdera le 12 avril 1938 à l'âge de 66 ans moins 6 jours. Elle sera inhumée dans le cimetière de Barraute le 19 avril 1938. Misaël, alors veuf, décèdera à l'âge de 71 ans et 7 mois, le 3 octobre 1938, également à Barraute. Il sera inhume dans le cimetière de la paroisse le 5 octobre suivant. |

Misaël Fiset was born on March 4, 1867 in St-Basile, Portneuf, Quebec. He was the son of Louis Fiset, farmer and of Mathilde Germain.
He married Amanda Richard, born on April 17, 1872, daughter of Jean Richard, also a farmer and Luce Matte in the Notre-Dame-des-Septs-Douleurs Church in Portneuf on April 8, 1888.
Funny fact: Amanda’s sister, Laura Richard also got married on the same day, April 8, 1888 in the same church with Ferdinand Fiset, son of Louis Fiset and Naphalette Marcotte.

Amanda passed on April 12, 1938 at 66 years old minus 6 days. She was buried in the Barraute Cemetery on April 19, 1938. Misaël, now a widower, passed at the age of 71 years and 7 months not long after, on October 3, 1938. He was also buried in the Barraute Cemetery on the following October 5.
